SCOUT - 2022 KENAI BATTERY UPGRADe

This 2022 Scout Kenai owner was ready to move on from the under powered Goal Zero Yeti 1500x unit to a more stable auxiliary power system with some additional features.

This build included:

1) Installation of the Crooked Mini Box which is an auxiliary battery support system which allows for this customer to choose the amount of Lithium batteries to install in his camper.

2) One Expion 360 Edge Battery with 240AH of Lithium power.

3) Shore Power Charger (30A Victron Blue Smart Charger) - for charging the batteries while parked.

4) Starlink - Power kit and port installation - Included 12V to 24V converter to power Starlink Mini off the newly installed auxiliary battery system. One exterior plug installed.

5) 800W Inverter Installation

Original power system in the 2022 Scout Kenai Camper. The Goal Zero Yeti 1500x leaves a lot of Scout Camper owners needing replacement options for this original system. The issues faced with these systems are 1) If the Goal Zero unit fails - the only option for customers is to purchase a replacement unit from Goal Zero (not serviceable for the years to come) 2) Limited DC power output which means you can not add additional accessories to the power system over time. 3) High failure rate after the first couple of years of use. At Crooked Finger Designs we have a solution for Scout customers to get your power system in a place that is robust and reliable.

Installation of the Crooked Mini Box, Expion 360 Battery, and 800W Inverter. The new system fits in the same spot that the Goal Zero system was installed for seamless transition to the upgraded power system in this 2022 Scout Kenai camper. (Note: The Expion 360 Battery is installed behind the Crooked Mini Box with proper access to the battery from the top that opens above that cabinet.)
